Connect in three steps
About two minutes. The same account works on the website and in every assistant you connect.
Copy the URL
The address above is the only thing your assistant needs.
Add it to your assistant
Pick yours below for the exact clicks.
Sign in with your email
We send a six-digit code. New email, new account, same as the website.
- Open claude.ai/customize/connectors, or Settings, then Connectors.
- Choose Add custom connector. Name it Mention Engine and paste the URL.
- Click Connect and sign in with your email and the code we send.
- In a chat, turn on the Mention Engine connector and ask for placements.
On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan an owner adds the connector under Organization settings first; each person then connects from their own settings.
- Open Settings, then Apps & Connectors, then Advanced, and turn on Developer mode.
- Choose Create. Name it Mention Engine, paste the URL, set authentication to OAuth, and save.
- Click Connect and sign in with your email and the code we send.
- In a chat, pick Mention Engine under Tools and ask for placements.
Run this in a terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http mention-engine https://mention-engine-mcp.lseo.com/mcpThen type /mcp inside Claude Code and choose Authenticate next to mention-engine.
Settings, then MCP, then Add new MCP server. Or add this to .cursor/mcp.json:
{ "mcpServers": { "mention-engine": { "url": "https://mention-engine-mcp.lseo.com/mcp" } } }Cursor opens the sign-in in your browser the first time a tool runs.
- Transport: Streamable HTTP at
/mcp. - Auth: OAuth 2.1 with PKCE and dynamic client registration. Discovery at
https://mention-engine-mcp.lseo.com/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server. - Scope:
mention-engine, the signed-in person’s own account.
What your assistant can do
Everything a buyer does on the website, in conversation. Nothing it cannot do on the website.
Know your brand
- Reads your site once and remembers niche, topics and market
- Keeps that context across chats and assistants
Find placements
- Describe the publishers you want in a sentence
- Only eligible, vetted inventory is ever shown
- Check whether a specific site is available
Brief the content
- Ten article formats, from best-of lists to buyer guides
- It collects the brief, Mention Engine writes the piece
- Or hand it a link to your own article
Order and follow up
- Reviews the cart with you before anything is charged
- Payment on a secure Stripe page, never in chat
- Status, publisher messages, approvals
Money and permissions
Your assistant never sees a card number. Checkout returns a payment link; you pay on a Stripe-hosted page and the publisher is notified when it clears. Account credit is applied first.
Nothing is ordered until you say yes to a specific cart and total in the conversation.
Disconnecting
Ask your assistant to disconnect Mention Engine, or remove the connector in that app. Either one revokes its access immediately. Orders you already placed stay on your account.
